TRUE Leadership Retreats - 2014
The testimony of a student coach shared one on one with a Chinese scholar participant
was used by the Lord to help this scholar come to faith in Christ at the retreat (together with the impact of the forgiveness letter exercise). This same student coach shared her story on the way home to Illinois and a second Chinese scholar said he now has put his faith in Jesus.
The participant from Iran shared with us that he is a new follower of Jesus within the past two months. All throughout TRUE he was all smiles and seemed to be encouraged in his new found faith. He especially noted the value of being able to get to know Dr. Samei (speaker), who also is from Iran. At the end of TRUE he said, “No matter where I am I plan to be back here at TRUE as a coach next year”.
We’ve just received a report of a Chinese student from Minnesota being led to Christ by her coach from Kansas City. Twenty five others said they wished to speak with someone further about what they heard or learned spiritually while at the retreat. Two students requested Bibles, one in Arabic and one in Vietnamese.
